Teaching Students to Meditate and Contemplate

Teaching Public School Students to Meditate and Contemplate!
How do you teach students to meditate and focus with the world screaming past. The use of quiet meditative calm and music is a great tool to help students focus. More and more students come from homes that are parented by proxy, leaving many classrooms a disharmonious chaotic mess with devastating consequences to the learning environment. “Music has charms to sooth a savage breast” and quiet meditative calm, focuses, and improves the unfocused mind and increase learning. Using music helps focus and calm most students but some need real meditative training to find calm focus.  You can ask, beg, plead, or command the kids all-day long to “focus and pay attention” but many can’t focus.

"Chance favors the prepared mind"
  • Reading is a very meditative activity that helps many students calm and focus
  • Learning a school chant keeps the mind focused
  • Memorizing poems is meditative
