Classroom Transitions Classroom Management

30-60 Second Student and Classroom Transitions Using Music

Quick, quiet, organized and  smooth transitions are the best way to set the table for learning and create a quality learning environment. Students can waste 20% of the instructional day with poorly implemented transitions. Transitions that are modeled daily and rehearsed perfectly ensure valuable instruction time is never wasted. Hectic and chaotic transitions can destroy the learning enjoyment and be stressful times for children and provoke unwanted and disruptive behaviors. Whole group transitions, that often include periods of waiting with nothing to do, can increase the likelihood of poor focus and participation in lessons. Stop wasting valuable instruction time and have fun using these timers and songs to boost students learning and engagement.  Time to learn "Mise en place" Mise en place (French pronunciation: [mi zɑ̃ ˈplas]) is a French culinary phrase which meant "putting in place", as in setting up and preparing the kitchen for service. Have fun trying to get your transitions down to 30 seconds with 100% engagement.
